Your account
Delete your account.
Enter the email on your Precept account. If we find it, we’ll email a link to confirm. The link works for 30 minutes, and nothing changes until you press “Delete my account” on that page.
- Have the app? Open your Profile and choose Delete account. It does the same thing.
- A confirmed request cannot be undone. We handle deletion requests within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy; some records are kept as it explains.
What happens
- At once: you’re signed out on every device and your conversations close.
- Deleted within 30 days: your name and email are replaced, your phone number, photo and profile details are removed, and messages you wrote are replaced with “[removed]”. If a paid Call is still booked, this waits until the Call is completed or refunded.
- Kept: payment, payout, refund and tax records (including Stripe’s, which can show your name and email) for as long as U.S. law requires — currently at least seven years for tax records; audit logs and safety reports; anything under a documented safety or legal hold, until it is resolved. Messages the other person wrote stay visible to them.
- Server logs and backups expire on their own schedules; if a backup is ever restored, your deletion is applied again. Full details: Privacy Policy, Section 8.
