How Precept works.

Guidance from someone who’s been there. Talk through your goals in a private mentorship conversation, or book a focused 20-minute Call when it helps. No employer involvement, no clinical-advice service — just an experienced nurse on the other end.

Tell us about you — 2 minutes

Specialty, career stage, and what brought you here. Your goals are shared with the mentor you request, so nobody asks “what brings you here” cold. Phone optional; SMS opt-in only.

Step 02

Request a mentor

Explore eligible mentors by specialty and experience. Choose someone to request; they decide whether they can take on the mentorship. Choosing a mentor yourself is available where it’s enabled for your account; otherwise, ask the Precept team and we’ll help you find one. Every mentor’s license is verified before they appear. Once they accept, you message each other in a private mentorship conversation, and either of you can end it.

You'll get Mentors shown with plain reasons, such as a shared specialty and their years of experience — no scores or predictions.

Step 03

Add a Call if it helps

A Call is optional: a scheduled 20-minute conversation, voice by default, camera optional (no extra charge), $25. Book one with your mentor, or book a one-off Call with another eligible mentor — a one-off booking doesn’t include a mentorship conversation. No subscription.

You'll see Open time slots on the mentor’s calendar and a single Book a Call button. After payment, check your booking for confirmation; the meeting link appears there once your mentor adds it.
